Hearing Evaluation
Hearing Feeling Muffled? Get a Quick Check-Up at Navjeevan!
Ever feel like conversations sound muffled, or the TV volume seems way too loud for everyone else? It might be time to give your ears a little checkup!
At Navjeevan, we offer a fast and painless hearing check to see what's going on. No needles or scary tools, just a friendly chat and some simple tests.
Here's what we'll do:
We’ll talk about any concerns you have and how your hearing feels lately.
We’ll use a special tool to take a look inside your ears, just to make sure everything’s clear for good sound. (OTOSCOPY)
You’ll wear headphones and listen for different sounds. This helps us understand how well you hear. (PURE TONE AUDIOMETERY)
We’ll play some words and sentences to see how well you hear them, even with background noise, like at a busy market. (SPEECH AUDIOMETERY)
This painless test checks how well your eardrum is working. (TYMPANOMETERY)
Otoacoustic Emissions (OAE): This test evaluates the functionality of the hair cells in the inner ear, which are responsible for converting sound waves into electrical signals.
Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR): This test measures the electrical activity in the brainstem in response to auditory stimuli. It can be helpful in evaluating hearing in infants, young children, or individuals who are unable to participate in traditional audiometry tests.
Results and Next Steps
After the tests, we'll explain everything in clear, simple language. You'll know what's going on with your hearing and what to do next. Maybe it's using hearing aids, seeing a specialist doctor, or learning tips to keep your ears healthy.
The whole thing takes about 30-60 minutes, and you don’t need any special preparation. We’re here to answer all your questions and make sure you feel comfortable throughout the checkup.
